Hi Louise,

I like twitter for the same reasons. I’ve met so many interesting people from all over the globe who I wouldn’t have connected with in a twitter-less world. Great video ;)

Thanks so much Ryan! Exactly…it’s a really cool platform for connecting with others around the world.

Ooh a Twitter-less world – don’t like the thought of that!!

Louise,
Loved it, what you covered was right on, that is how you and I met, Michigan USA to England, as per twitter. I wish on twitter we had a few more characters to work with, I am rather long winded… But it has been really cool, both working and making new friends on twitter. I will be tweeting your blog tomorrow, I HEART Twitter also, loved your last minute of video. Wish you would have come out and just said what you felt, I HEART TWITTER.. By the way that was a joke there, remember how bad I am at that. Great job, can’t wait for more. In England I bet They HEART YOU. It has been great getting to know you.

Hiya,

You’re right on about twitter. For a year I was reluctant to join in on any social media, seeing it as a waste of time. I was persuaded to sign up on facebook, but after joining twitter, I can definitely say that it’s much more interesting. Enjoy your honest approach.

Hey James, Thank you.

I definitely find that Twitter is not a waste of time, it can be if you spend all day long on it and it’s easy to get caught up in it, but if used properly it can be a very useful tool, and enjoyable too.

Thanks for your comment :)

Hello Louise!
Lovely post! I’m looking forward to learn more about interacting on Twitter. I’m new to it and I’m using it mainly as a tool for sharing links, ’cause I’m already interacting on 4 different Social Networks! :)
In appreciation,
Francesco

Hi Francesco! Thanks very much for your comment.

I know what you mean, it can be hard trying to keep up with all of the social networks. The thing is though, people will pay a lot more attention to your links if you spend time on Twitter interacting with people as well, so that they can get to know you a bit better and you build up their trust. People are less likely to follow you if they look at your profile and it’s all links so try to spend a bit of time interacting with your followers.

You could always use something like SocialOomph (it’s free) where you can schedule tweets for different times so that you are putting some things out there that aren’t just links when you’re too busy to spend time on Twitter. Obviously it’s good to have real conversations with others too though.

Thanks again for your comment,
Louise
